FYI: The following information is based on the previous Recital (2019) at the Folly Theatre. New information for Place, Times and Rule may vary, change and be determined when the decisions for the current year are made

Important Note

Thank you for purchasing tickets to the big event on Saturday! Each dancer in the performance is to receive one free ticket if she/he chooses to stay and watch the show. If your child is in the performance, PLEASE e-mail your order # and your child's name ASAP to linda@follytheater.org so we can have a ticket ready for her/him at will call on Saturday. Lorna confirm all of the names and hopefully they can be distributed at rehearsal Saturday morning. If not, they will be at will call that evening when the box office opens at 4 pm. Please remember that ALL dancers must enter through the stage door on Central St for rehearsal and the performance. The front doors of the theater will be locked until it opens at 4 pm.

RECITAL RULES

FOLLY THEATER
SATURDAY, 5:00 pm, JUNE 1st, 2019
Arrive For Dress Rehearsal At 8:30 am

  1. Be SURE to have your name in all your costumes, head pieces, & shoes. If something is left behind, we'll know who it belongs to.

  2. Please remove all temporary tattoos and nail polish. No jewelry unless otherwise advised.

  3. Bring extra hair pins and safety pins for any last minute repairs. Scissors are also helpful along with thread and needle.

  4. Dress rehearsal is at 9:00 am at the Folly Theater June 1st, Saturday morning. All students must arrive by 8:30 am. Use the stage door entrance at the northeast side of the building for both dress rehearsal and recital. Dancers should be back to the Folly Theater, Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm for the 5:00 pm performance.

  5. The children's dressing room is the Shareholders' Room on the second floor. Older dancers are on the main floor and down stairs--follow signs.

  6. Older dancers need full stage makeup. The young children need a little blush, lipstick and mascara because of the bright stage lights. All students must have their hair in buns and no bangs.

  7. If your child/children are only in the first half you may get your child/children from the shareholders' room at intermission.

  8. DO NOT GO INTO THE LOBBY OR AUDIENCE WITH COSTUMES, TAP SHOES OR BALLET SLIPPERS ON.

  9. As a courtesy to others in the audience and dancers on the stage, please refrain from exiting and entering your reserved seats during the dance routines. If you must do so, please wait until the dance is finished. The dancers have worked very hard and deserve to have the audience's full attention. The performer(s) that are on stage could belong to the family that is sitting beside or behind you.

  10. NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY DURING THE PERFORMANCE OR PERSONAL VIDEOS. IT IS DISTRACTING TO THE PERFORMERS, AS WELL AS THE AUDIENCE.
